Jade Ewen won the viewers' vote in the final of Eurovision: Your Country Needs You and will represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest Moscow in May.
She will sing the specially composed song, It's My Time, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Warren. The song is Andrew Lloyd Webber meets The Winner's Song by Geraldine McQueen. I wonder if Andrew realised where he got the idea from. But as Geraldine got to number three with her single all may not be lost.
All the three finalists sang their own version of It's My Time. Mark showed again that he has a good voice but his performance was wooden. The viewers were right voting him into third place. The Twins had been sent off during the week to meet four greasy MPs in parliament who showed them round Westminster Hall and gave them some language lessons which they won't be needing in Moscow. They sang well this evening. Lulu was right when she told them they had stepped up their game during the series.
But Jade did well grabbing victory from the jaws of the bottom two last week. She didn't screech and gave the best performance of The Winner's Song, sorry - It's My Time. Let's hope she can beat the milestone marked by Andy the Dustman last year when he came in last.
