Andrew Lloyd Webber has offered his services to Queen and Country to rescue his beloved nation from humiliation at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest.
Lord Lloyd-Webber will help find and mentor the acts from which one will eventually be selected to perform their song.
Viewers were invited to send in demo DVDs or video files and Andrew Lloyd Webber, Universal Music representative, Colin Barlow and the BBC production team have decided which acts will take part in the live show, Your Country Needs You, and compete for the chance to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow.
Andrew went to Moscow and met prime minister Vladimir Putin and secured the his personal vote for the UK entry in the contest.
Lord Lloyd-Webber and Mr Putin met at the prime ministerial dacha and spoke for nearly an hour about Russia's relationship with Europe, its relationship with the UK and the Eurovision Song Contest.
Eurovision: Your Country Needs You starts on BBC One on Saturday 3rd January.
