Sharon Osbourne to leave The X Factor?

Sharon Osbourne has not secured her position on the judging panel for this year's X Factor although recording of the auditions is about to begin.

This site has forecast that she would not make it back this year after her shambolic contributions in 2007 when she walked out of the first show in a strop and selected weak acts which were soon voted off the show.

Previous acts indicated that Osbourne showed little interest in them when the cameras were not rolling.

Today's Sun indicates that "feisty" Sharon Osbourne had X Factor bosses "sweating" last night as she held out for a massive £500,000 pay rise.

The paper reports Osbourne is demanding a £2 million contract to return to The X Factor, more than the pay of Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue, both of whose acts have won previous series of the show.

An X Factor "source" told The Sun: “We need Sharon – and she knows it. She will return, but she’s holding out for more cash."

Well - we will soon find out when we see if Osbourne or a replacement shows up for the first X Factor auditions this year. And of course if she is not replaced, the show would still have three judges, the same number it had until last year.
