X Factor winner Leona Lewis goes house hunting

X Factor 2006 winner Leona Lewis wanted to buy a house in Hackney, East London where she was raised, with her boyfriend. When the couple found a house they liked, they submitted an offer only for the seller to reportedly raise the asking price when they realised who was buying the house.

The singer, who has had a no1 hit in the US with her single Bleeding Love, is currently renting a flat in Hackney and wants to stay in the area. However, her record bosses and friends would prefer it if Leona were to move out of the area due to the the high level of crime.
