The X Factor

I was in the audience for the afternoon London audition at Excel and I thought you might like to know about the new format.

The Sun published today the new X Factor pecking order for the stars of the show, ignoring of course any of the singers who make short appearances each year.

But the Daily Mail says Dannii will be back

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has signed a $3.5 million five album contract in the US.

Alexandra Burke has become the first British female solo artist to sell a million copies of a single. Her cover of Hallelujah has now been the number one single in the UK for the past three weeks.

Today's Sun is reporting that Gary Barlow is planning to take on Simon Cowell — with his own reality show on the BBC.

Alexandra Burke's single Hallelujah topped the UK singles chart on 21st December. The Jeff Buckley version released only as a download was number two.

The X Factor final was watched by 13.2 million viewers - the most for any episode of The X Factor.

Over an hour after the excitement of the first part of tonight's finals ... and after months of auditions ... weeks of live shows ... rumour and controversy ... it's the Results!

The evening starts with all 12 finalists back on stage for Ain't No Mountain High Enough. Then we are straight into Round 1, and the cheese of the Christmas songs.
