The X Factor final was the number one show on TV in the UK for the whole week ending 16th December.
The main show was watched by 11.78 million viewers including those who watched their time-shifted recordings of the live show. The results show was seen by 12.23 million people.
The X Factor therefore beat Coronation street, EastEnders and Strictly Come Dancing that week. Their most popular shows that week were seen by 11.37 million, 9.91 million and 10.97 million respectively.
