The X Factor 2 - Auditions - 5Haifa Haifa, 25, has a warm smile and is another strong candidate in the 25+ category at boot camp. "Sharon told her: "You've got a great smoky voice which is so natural." Louis said: "You remind me a little bit of Joss Stone." Haifa was in the first series of Pop Idol but falied to make the final ten. She also appeared on BBC One's Making Your Mind Up, competing to be the UK's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004. Ryan A super-fit 38-year-old Ryan arrived for his audition wearing what looked like purple pyjamas. He then demonstrated he could sing better than most of the others - and breakdance at the same time. Ryan was was told he was through to boot camp. "Can I press flesh?" he asked politely before shaking the hands of the judges. Nicholas "Why have you entered the competition, Nicholas?" Simon asked the 17-year-old. "Cos you lot wanted the X Factor," Nicholas told him. "You have something I haven't seen today which is a totally raw talent. You are in a totally different league to everyone we've seen today," Simon told him. Another strong contender with a great personality was through to boot camp. Daniel Daniel Risner has cerebral palsy. When he was seven he tried to get a main part in a school play and someone told him he would not look good on stage or TV. So that put-down spurred him on and eleven years later he came along to the audition to try to prove them wrong. Daniel sang Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up for the judges. Louis told him he did a very good job with the song. Sharon and Simon both commented on his personality as well as his singing. He was through to the next round. |
