Prince William spent a night sleeping rough near to London's Blackfriars Bridge last wednesday night, bedding down in a sleeping bag next to some wheelie bins around Blackfriars bridge but not getting much sleep in temperatures as low as four degrees Celsius below zero.
Prince William is a patron of the the homeless charity Centrepoint and their chief executive, Seyi Obakin, had dared William to experience sleeping rough. Mr Obakin slept next to William and explained they were almost run over by a road sweeper in the morning.
The pair were joined on the ground by William's private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, in an alleyway just after midnight last Wednesday.
At 6am Prince William was taken on a tour of the West End to see where others were sleeping.
