Prince William receives RAF pilot's wings

Prince William received his RAF wings earlier today. He has therefore became the fourth successive generation of the royal family to become an RAF pilot.

Prince Charles, the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Albert, who later became King George VI, all served in the RAF.

Prince Charles awarded William his wings at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire as the Duchess of Cornwall and Kate Middleton looked on.
