William and Harry to make joint public appearance on 21 AprilPrinces William and Harry are set to carry out a rare public appearance this Monday (21 April) at the Defense Medical Services Rehabilitation Center in Surrey, England. The princes will meet staff and patients at the military clinic, which rehabilitates injured service men and women from all branches of the British military. Patients at the clinic suffer from a variety of physical and neurological disabilities acquired in combat. The princes' visit to the center comes ahead of the City Salute Appeal, London's major fundraising event scheduled for May 7. The charity, of which both William and Harry are patrons, will raise funds to cover medical costs for injured soldiers. The princes released a joint statement last month when their patronage was announced. Said the princes, "As brothers, we are delighted to be supporting the City of London in saluting all those who serve their country. As well as raising money for vital rehabilitation facilities, City Salute is an opportunity for us all to celebrate the fantastic contribution made by our servicemen and women and their families. It is also a chance to pay tribute to the casualty evacuation and medical staff of all three Services who protect and care for the wounded so brilliantly and with such tireless dedication."
