Paul Burrell

Paul Burrell, the ex-butler to Diana Princess of Wales has made a fortune from being the ex-butler to Diana Princess of Wales.

Self-confessed "rock" of Diana, Princess of Wales, has applied to sell alcohol. Not a strange idea in itself, but Burrell wants to sell the booze at his florist/gift shop in Farndon, near Chester.

Paul Burrell has courted controversy again, this time mimicking Queen Elizabeth II at a party.

The one time royal employee shocked fellow guests by pretending to be the Queen and talking in robotic like tones. One guest said “Mocking the Queen is disgusting, especially in front of a load of Yanks who believe all his rubbish. The Queen will be furious. She won’t like being made fun of at all."

Content within Paul Burrell's latest book about Diana, Princess of Wales has deeply upset one of the Princess's closest friends, Rosa Monckton. Burrell wrote of a private burial held in the garden at Kensington Palace of Rosa's stillborn child. Mrs. Monckton was unaware that Burrell had included this sad event in his book 'The Way We Were' until she was contacted for comment by ABC News' London bureau for comment.

The trial of Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell on charges of theft collapsed on 1st November 2002 after the dramatic intervention of Queen Elizabeth. Mr Burrell had been accused of stealing property belonging to Diana's estate and to Prince Charles and Prince William.

Paul Burrell has made new claims in a new chapter in his book, A Royal Duty. Seven months after the book was originally published he decided to release more claims about the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana in the paperback version.

In January 2004, a UK tabloid, the Daily Mirror, identified Prince Charles as the "senior royal" who Princess Diana believed wanted to kill her.

Diana had believed ten months before she died that her life was being threatened and feared a car "accident" would be rigged, according to a note apparently written to Burrell. She predicted that her car brakes would be tampered with to cause her serious injury and pave the way for Prince Charles to marry Camilla Parker Bowles.

On 24th October 2003 Prince William and Prince Harry accused their mother's former butler, Paul Burrell, of "cold and overt betrayal" over revelations in his forthcoming book. They said if she were alive today Princess Diana would be mortified by the details of her private letters which Burrell has revealed.

Prince William knew of the claim of the ex-royal butler, Paul Burrell, that he was looking after the possessions of the late princess Diana - months before his trial for theft started and subsequently collapsed.

Prince William feels guilty and believes he has let down Paul Burrell, the former butler to his mother, the late Diana Princess of Wales. Mr Burrell was taken before the courts and tried for the theft of papers and other items that had belonged to Diana. The trial dramatically collapsed on 1st November 2002 following an unprecedented intervention by Queen Elizabeth and Mr Burrell was acquitted.
