Prince William and Kate Middleton are reported to be planning a romantic return to Tam-na-Ghar, the three bedroom cottage given to William by the Queen Mother as a place to get away for a little R&R when he was a student.

HM the Queen is set to open a memorial gardens in honour of her mother, the Queen Mum.

The memorial garden is to be located within the Royal Botanic Gardens and is costing approximately £600,000.

Westminster Abbey's Tenor Bell tolled 101 times to mark the start of the Queen Mother's funeral. As the sound rang out across central London - one toll each minute for every year of her life - thousands of people gathered in the streets outside before to the service which began at 11.30am.

At exactly 5.40pm on Monday, the 8th of April 2002, the four grandsons of the Queen Mother walked silently into Westminster Hall.

Minutes before the royal party appeared, a hush descended on the hall as mourners filing past the coffin came to a halt.

Three generations of the British royal family joined a procession carrying the Queen Mother's coffin through London on 5th April 2002.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and Princes William and Harry walked behind the gun carriage bearing the coffin from St James's Palace to the lying-in-state in Westminster Hall, alongside the Houses of Parliament.

Prince William, together with his brother Prince Harry and his father Prince Charles, were skiing in Klosters, Switzerland when the Queen Mother died.

The princes were devastated at hearing the news and returned to England the following day to be with the rest of the family.
