Harry and Chelsy making waves--are Kate and William set to do the same?

As photos of Cherry (that's Chelsy and Harry to those readers who don't visit the forum) enjoying the sun and surf in Mauritius emerge the Daily Mail is suggesting that William and Kate may also be spotted at the beach this New Year. According to Katie Nicholl the Prince is expected to meet Kate at the island of Mustique before beginning his search-and-rescue pilot training this January. Although many of our members take Nicholl's exclusives (or any exclusive for that matter) with a bucket of salt this time at least she's likely to be right...if only by deduction. Both princes have spent numerous holidays with their girlfriends' families over the years--more in fact then they spend with their own family--and this will not be the first time the princes have joined their girlfriends to ring in the New Year.

The princes are likely to draw criticism for their holiday. The Queen was reported to have asked her family to refrain from partaking in expensive holidays or partying during the current economic situation. Personally, I find such criticism unfair. Both princes have been working hard with the military; Harry recently passed difficult tests to become eligible for helicopter pilot training while William has recently returned--beard included--from special training with the SAS. Chelsy Davy has also been hard at work having just completed work experience at a London law firm. And Kate Middleton...well...she hasn't been spotted out clubbing in quite awhile so she probably needs to let off some steam by now too.

Like his older brother, Prince Harry is also shortly to begin a new regime of helicopter training. Although the brothers will be training at different bases over the winter sources say that they will both be based at RAF Shawbury this summer. Said the source, 'the boys have been posted together at RAF Shawbury near Shrewsbury. They will be spending the whole summer together at the same airbase learning to fly helicopters. Harry is delighted as he and his brother are usually poles apart because of their military commitments.'

Although very competetive and teasing towards each other this is likely to be good news for the brothers. Since beginning their military careers William and Harry haven't seen as much of each other as they would like; most of their contact being limited to phone calls, emails and royal events. However, they have been having something of a "Bromance" over the past few months as they joined together on a number of charitable and social occasions.
