On 20th October 2003 a jury has found Cheryl Tweedy guilty of assaulting a nightclub worker, Sophie Amogbokpa.
The jury had reached a unanimous verdict that Cheryl was not guilty of the more serious of two charges, racially aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm. But they found her guilty of the charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Cheryl was sentenced to complete 120 hours of unpaid work and also had to pay her victim
