Sultan sends birthday greetings to Danish Queen

The Sultan of Brunei has sent a congratulatory message to Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and to the Prime Minister on the occasion of the 66th birthday anniversary of Queen Margrethe II.

The Queen who was born on 16 April 1940 at Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen has been Denmark’s head of state for 34 years.

In his message, the Sultan expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding between the two countries.

A message was also sent by the Prince Mohamed Bolkiah who is the country’s foreign minister which read, "I have great pleasure in presenting my warmest respects to Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and the Royal Family, together with my congratulations and best wishes to you and the government and people of Denmark on the birthday of Her Majesty.”
