The Final BB Countdown

It was the news that BB fans had been dreading - due to failing ratings, Big Brother will be axed from Channel 4 next year. However, as well as a final series next summer, they still have a final this week to look forward to - and it could be interesting...

Why? Last Friday night Marcus Akin - joint favourite with most bookies to win - was evicted with just over 60% of the vote. This is the second time this series that the favourite to win has been evicted; the previous casualty being Freddie Fisher a few weeks ago.

Why does this make it interesting? Simply because it has made a lot of people question the likelihood of bookies being correct on predicting the winner. Instead of people assuming that Sophie Reade is the definite winner due to her "evens" odds with some bookies, the consensus on various websites is extremely mixed. Some seem convinced that Siavash Sabbaghpour - the victor in last week's eviction - will win, due to his "Devil may care" attitude and rebelling against the rules of Big Brother, as well as his declaration that he will give the prize money to charity if he wins. Rodrigo Lopes has also been bookies' favourite within the past couple of weeks, before slipping back to third - but he's seen by many as the most genuine housemate, and so could be a dark horse...

Remaining with them in the house at the moment are Charlie Drummond, David Ramsden and Lisa Wallace - although the Daily Mail have forgotten about her the past two weeks, leaving her out of their remaining contestants lists. One will get the boot on Tuesday night and have to face Davina and the baying (and probably booing!) crowds a few days sooner than expected, while the rest will stay until the final on Friday - where the winner of BB10 will be announced, and awarded with a currently unknown amount of prize money.

They don't care though. Honest(!) But will they feel the same when they leave? And who will emerge victorious?? Discuss it on the Big Brother board!
