Today's Sun is reporting that Gary Barlow is planning to take on Simon Cowell — with his own reality show on the BBC.
If the report proves accurate the lead singer of the UK's number one group will be competing with the UK's number one music mogul on Saturday night TV.
According to The Sun, Take That's Gary Barlow is planning a TV format in which he will create a new boyband.
Gary Barlow has already set up his own music label, backed by Universal, the arch rival of Sony BMG, which Simon works for.
According to the paper, Barlow offered the idea first to ITV who turned it down so as not to upset Simon. Then he took the idea to BBC who will probably screen the show this year.
