A new term has begun at Eggleston Hall, eight new recruits to be turned from ladette to lady in a few short weeks. "I am ready for the challenge" declared Rosemary Shrager, waving a dangerous looking cleaver towards the camera. One by one seven girls arrived, displaying vast acres of flesh, heavy make-up, fake tans and lugging suitcases the size of wardrobes. Holly was accompanied by her parents. "Are you pleased to leave her here?" enquired Gill Harbord. "Very pleased" was her father's heartfelt reply. I suspect he will be hoping not to see Holly again for a good few weeks.
The last girl, Liverpudlian Charlotte, arrived four hours late because she had to go and get some conditioner. Gill Harbord was distinctly unimpressed by this, and even more unimpressed when two days later Charlotte decided that she didn't want to be a lady after all and would like to go home thank you very much.
The staff had just a few days to try and work some magic, but despite the heavy workload the girls still found time to vandalise the dining room in a drunken rampage. The task for this week was for the girls to attend a luncheon party followed by an afternoon of croquet with a group of eligible young bachelors. The girls promptly set about corrupting the willing young bachelors, daring them to strip off for a swim in the lake and then stealing their clothes - including those they were wearing at the time. Unfortunately for Nicole she had been seen waving a young man's undergarments in the air.
The girls were called in one by one to be told how appalling they were. Neema was forward, Laura was very insolent, Nicole was a model student in the classroom but fell from grace at the lunch party, Holly was arrogant and resented authority. They had all let themselves down but the staff decided unanimously that Laura must be expelled.
