Camilla at 60The Duchess of Cornwall celebrated her 60th birthday today amidst a rainstorm while visiting Bromham in Wiltshire. While in Bromham, Charles and Camilla visited St Nicholas Church, a local pub, and post office. After spending about 2 1/2 hours in the village, the Prince of Wales lit candles on an iced fruit cake, bearing the words "Happy Birthday - 60", made for Camilla by the local Woman's Institute. Showing his softer side, Prince Charles played conductor to a group of children from a local nursery, singing "Happy Birthday, dear Duchess" despite the rain. After unveiling an oak plaque to mark the visit, The Prince travelled alone to Leighterton in Gloucestershire while Camilla left to have a private birthday lunch with her family. |
