Grease Is The Word - third live showdownTwo of the best couples in Grease Is The Word were voted into the bottom two by the viewers and the judges had to decide which to save and which to send home. They saved Bradley and Michelle, just as they did in the first week - and sent home Wayne and Hayley. Both of the couples had shown how good they were with their sing-off performance of Summer Nights. David Ian realised he had lost a good singer when Wayne was voted off - and asked him to call him on Monday morning for an audition. Wayne could end up on the Grease stage yet. Bradley and Michelle had been given an old Abba song - and as they couldn't reach the Abba register they chose another register which sounded flat. No wonder they were voted into the bottom two. Brian Friedman and David Ian commented on air that it looked like some of the couples had been paired up wrongly. It could be that they try to make amends by shuffling some of the remaining 10 singers before next week's show. Vicky is much too powerful a singer to sing with Michael and that is one couple that should be split. Two weeks ago Anthony looked scruffy, flabby and out of condition. Yesterday he looked much fitter and he and Alison are now real contenders to win the competition. The judges looked desperate to get rid of Danny R and Lauren and took the opportunity to put off the viewers from voting for them. However, they gave the best performance of the evening for the second week running and were the first couple to be voted through to next week's show. Although they were asked to do their own choreography they just stood apart and didn't move during their song. It does look as if they would be completely incapable of playing Danny and Sandy on stage. Wayne and Hayley - Footloose
