How Do You Solve a Problem Like Connie?Connie Fisher, the star of The Sound of Music, is to reduce her workload on the show. She will now perform six times a week, with Aoife Mulholland, another Maria candidate in How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, and who has been appearing in Chicago, stepping in on Monday nights and Wednesday afternoons. Connie Fisher has just returned to her role as Maria at the London Palladium after a fortnight off with damaged vocal cords. By appointing Aoife Mulholland, Andrew Lloyd Webber has overlooked Sophie Bould, Connie's deputy. Emma Williams, with Andrew Lloyd Webber planned to split the role with Connie, left the show last year when Connie said she wanted to take on all eight shows each week. |
