In the results show Alistair sang his composition Feeling Alive. He was backed by Alex and James.

All five students then performed Dancing In the Street.

James expelled

Only two students were saved by the public in the ninth week: Alex and Alistair. Carolynne, James and Peter were in the bottom three.

Robin voted to save Peter, David voted for Carolynne and then Carrie voted for Peter. Richard used his casting vote to save Carolynne.

That meant there were only three saved students to choose to betwen Peter and James. They all voted for Peter. James was expelled.
