The fifth showdown was a Bee Gees special. All the nine students sang Bee Gees songs:

Simone expelled
Six students were saved by the viewers' vote. Carolynne, Paris and Simone were in the bottom three.
The teachers then voted unanimously to save Paris.
Six of the saved students then voted to save Carolynne. Only James voted for Simone who was therefore expelled.
