Princess Alexandra of Denmark marries and loses royal title

Hong Kong-born Princess Alexandra of Denmark, 42, divorced from a Danish prince, gave up her royal title today by marrying a TV cameraman, Martin Jörgensen, 28.

The couple married in a private ceremony at a church in Öster Egede.

Alexandra divorced Prince Joachim, second son of Queen Margrethe, in 2004. The couple had two children, 7-year-old Nikolai and 3-year-old Felix, who were both at today's wedding.

Alexandra will now be known as Alexandra Christina, Countess of Frederiksborg.
