Dancing on Ice 2008 - Suzanne Shaw tops the leader-board

The competition is hotting up with only six acts left and the final looming closer. This week's required element, a solo jump, seemed to cause problems for everyone except Greg, who happily bounded around the ice like a baby elephant, wishing he had twelve jumps instead of the seven he ended up with. He should have stuck to six - the seventh one left him sprawling on the ice.

Zaraah and Gareth both made mistakes, but Gareth seemed to recover better and was awarded higher marks for it. Linda's performance was not without fault either, but she managed her jumps well and gained her highest score of the series.

Chris was determined to be the first celebrity in any series of Dancing on Ice to perform an axel and succeeded in his goal, albeit with a two-foot landing, to gain a top score of 27. Suzanne gave an almost flawless performance, interpreting the music beautifully, and was delighted to receive the same score as Chris. However, it seemed the scoreboard gremlins had been at work again and Ruthie said that she had actually pressed 5.5 but the scoreboard showed only 5. The score was adjusted and much to Suzanne's delight she found herself top scorer for the week.
