Among his phobias David Van Day lists 'Jungles', so one can only assume that his career must be in terminal decline because he's now turned up in the Australian rainforest.
Oh well, he might not be seeing too much of the jungle after all because after the way he has been behaving in the short time since his arrival he seems to have been doing everything he can to make sure that he'll be the first to be sent home! On the other hand, the British public does have a wicked sense of humour sometimes. Maybe he won't be allowed to leave just yet, at least not until he has equalled or surpassed Jan Leeming's tally of bush-tucker trials.
Whether intentional or not, David has lost no time in taking over Robert's mantle of this year's jungle villain, and his arrival has certainly stirred up tensions in the camp. Even the previously invisible Simon Webbe was roused to anger by his attitude.
