Life must be extremely bizarre for Karly Ashworth at the moment. Leaving the Big Brother house to return to the "real world" is often described as a culture shock by evicted housemates, but now the 21-year-old from Fife is left watching her boyfriend, Kenneth, bonding with the housemates she has come to know over the past number of weeks. In one of the cruellest Big Brother twists to date, Kenneth and 4 new housemates entered the house only minutes before Karly was evicted, leaving her with the realisation that she would be left waiting for him in the outside world.
However, it seems Karly should be consoled by two things. Firstly, as Kenneth seems determined to remind us constantly, he has lots of money. And secondly, Kenneth has already boasted in the diary room that he knows he can win - a sure-fire way to get voted out if previous series are anything to go by. Maybe Karly won't be waiting too long for him after all...
Alongside Kenneth are 4 other new housemates...
Bea is a 24-year-old bohemian who was once expelled from a private school. She has already become close to Halfwit, leaving viewers in the hope that there may still be a more genuine-seeming relationship in the house this year than Dogface and Kris!
David - a recycled clothing sorter - seems like a younger version of Richard from BB7 - annoying at first but quite good fun. possibly what the house needs, as many people have been deeming the show "boring in recent weeks."
Hira is a fashion designer from Dublin. Loud and ever-so-slightly-annoying (!), Hira has been described online as "the new Sophia" - not a good omen for her, given that Sophia got over 90% of the vote to be the first evictee this series!
Finally, Tom is a chartered surveyor, yacht importer, fitness fanatic, and the newest member of the Noirin fan-club. Marcus has already declared that he can "beat him easily" - let's see, shall we..??
What do you think of the new housemates? Will they succeed in their secret task this week? Have your say over on the Big Brother board.
