Apprentice star Simon talks about his habitSimon Smith, who was seen being fired by Sir Alan Sugar on The Apprentice last Thursday, has spoken about his 5 year addiction to cocaine and how he has managed to turn his life around. Simon left the army in 1998 after 9 years and found it difficult to adjust to life outside it and turned to cocaine to cope and went through 6 jobs in 10 years. He was so addicted that he put cocaine before his wife on their honeymoon to Jamaica in 2002; Simon admitted to sneaking out of the room at night to get his fix. Despite the breakdown of his marriage, Simon continued to self-destruct until after a night out in London, he realised he needed to seek help and get his life back again before the drugs killed him. Simon has been clean for 3 years and has a child with his new partner. Great to see Simon has been able to turn his life round and get back on track. |
