Record audience for The Apprentice

The Apprentice scored another record audience last night when the candidates manufactured and sold ice cream. 7.4 million watched the episode in which Lindi Mngaza was fired by Sir Alan Sugar.

This figure was 0.4 million ahead of the audience last week which was also an all-time record audience of 7.0 million viewers at the time.

7.4 million was 1.0 million up on the audience for the first show of the current series, 2.1 million more than the audience for the fifth show last year - and 0.2 million higher 6.8 million achieved both for the third show of the current series and last year's final which was then a record.
